October 28, 2022 - Foliage Flight Eastern Shore

I missed peak foliage in the local area but I decided to go fly around anyways.  It wasn't peak but it wasn't that much past peak.  The photos show more color than I remember when I was flying.

Here flying by Essex Skypark.  Some of the best color is the big forest east of the runway.

The foliage at nearby North Point State Park is as good as the best on the eastern shore.  Especially the one section in the center of the picture.

A close-up of my favorite section.  The Back River is at the top of the picture, with Essex Skypark just beyond that.

Crossing the Chesapeake Bay.  Looking north.

Feet dry, eastern shore, looking north.

Cruising over at large area of trees.

One of the many creeks on the eastern shore.

Could be a botanical garden!

A mansion with lots of surrounding space.

Cruising up the Chester River.

More Chester River.

Now going cross-country.

Approaching a new, private airport with paved runway that just sprang up in the last year or so.

House on one side of the runway, gigantic hangar on the other.  Nice.  All you have to do is ask!  I mean, all you have to have is money!

Looking down at my nephew's house (center-right:  the one with the covered circular above-ground pool).

Passing by Ridgely -- I mean Gooden -- Airpark (KRJD).  I rarely land at this airport anymore.  They used to sell fuel but no longer.

Interesting color in this field.

Awesome waterfront property all by its lonesome.
